As for the heading of this thread, maybe its not correct to the letter of the law, but either is your comment that they were 'given' shares. They were not just 'given' shares. They agreed to sell their stake in the IP for an issue of shares. This is a positive. I would rather that than a cash payout. Means (unless they now start selling stock) that they are confident of the future.

So try practising what you preach if you are going to start dragging people down for what you interpret as untruths and misinformation.
