quiet from me. Not much to say. A reading of the thread here testifies to that. Childish bickering is not really my thing. But that's what dominates on underperforming speculative stocks. It's a bit like winning the lotto. When you're rich, you have more friends than you thought you knew, but when the cash has ran out, you're the lonliest soul in the neighbourhood.
At the beginning of this C19 journey, there was plenty to say. We all gave our pitch for or against, myself included. Now we wait, We can bicker about the wait, blame someone, bitch about our loss, but at the end of the day, if you're tied to such reponses, one should not be trading at this end of the market. But we all know that. Very few though take it to heart.
About the only thing to discuss, is the pandemic as a whole, cures specifically, that is, the global research being done. We did plenty of that last year, but there are only so many medical journals one can read if your're not dedicated to the subject. Let's face it, readers here are dedicated to their investments bottom line, and not particularly to how its achieved. My view is that bio investors should either do whatever they can to comprehend better their product, share that if they are so inclined, or sit it out and wait on news. Crying over a 'poor' investment means that one is not mature enough to invest.
So how is Biotron doing. Everyone invested here should know the answer to that. But many don't. This is because they make their big mouthed judgements through their big loss anxiety. A poor trading strategy.
My investment is down too, but my views on Biotron's 'possibility' hasn't yet chenged. In fact, I think it has strengthened. Biotron have not indicated that the game is over. Rather, they are still batting. Yes, it's a test match going the full course, like most bio plays do. Have never invested in a bio yet that hasn't taken a year or two to come to fruition.
Not withstanding the new outbreak in Melbourne, we migh be forgiven for assuming that the pandemic has passed us by here in the lucky country. If we couch our losing investment into this mistaken hyposthesis, then our bottom line seems in deep water. But just as the pandemic is far from over, so too our investment is not yet over.
I wrote on another thread about two weeks ago how I thought Australians were making a big mistake in vaccine hesitantcy. Seems like I was on the money if the sudden vaccination rate increase in recent days is an indicator. I remind us of this because this pandemic is not going anywhere for a very long time. We discussed this late last year, how the virus would continue to evolve due to its global saturation. My views on the matter havn't changed, and the evidence supports it. Only a global herd immunity knock-out vaccination campaign will kill this bug, but that won't happen. Never. There is a difference between the dynamics of say, a successful polio vaccination roll-out, and one that will acheive the same reults with a corona-virus. Big difference. Think flu shots, but include the corona kill rate.
Enter a cure. Any cure. Maybe there is hope.
