I get the sense that the bitumen is the absolutely foundational base business case to prove economic viability. I think you're right that the main money maker is, hopefully, going to be the activated carbon.
but that's what I like about this management team. they're not leaving their chances of success to the whim and fancy of the activated carbon market, they're pegging their success on boring bitumen. setting themselves up to capitalise on the activated carbon market if/when it explodes like the lithium market they predicted .
given how well known the deposit is, given how experienced the management team are, given the predictability of the bitumen market in the foreseeable future, and given the opportunities in the activated carbon market AND in the Georgina basin, this is a company with so much REALISTIC upside potential it's hard to not close down other positions and put everything on this one.
I mean, there no such thing as a "sure thing" in the stock market, but IMO, this gets damn close to it.
