Let's consider the alternative. The only way for them not to be 'gifted' these options, as you put it, is for the share price to be under 4 cents forever. Would you prefer that? I believe most shareholders, yourself included especially if you are one of those early birds, would any time prefer the share price as it is today. After all, LC making millions and preferably billions can only mean one thing. That we shareholders who hold on tight and follow her will also enter the millionaire club. Some bigger holders will also become billionaire.
But then, what are those billions when compared to the millions of people afflicted by this cancerous disease. To those afflicted by such disease, they would readily give up their wealth for a cure. They would do anything for a cure. And look at the stories of those who survived it. The cancer and its treatment will leave a permanent dent on the person's life in one way or another.
This company is truly doing good things here. So please, don't begrudge a hard working CEO getting her rewards. She deserves every cent of it.
