I disagree here.

A US listing does not require 'connections'. And if it does, I would prefer that the company does not engage in listing in such a market. I wish to invest in transparent companies/societies without a background show.

The market cap reached at the Australian market was already substantial enough to finance further stages without much dilution.

I think you are interpreting "connections" incorrectly.

I think the context meant by the author is the right people to go to in the USA who have the experience, knowledge and understanding of the processes involved etc. - solicitors/bankers/institutions etc.
