Juk,
definitively interesting that Sanyo is tripling NiMH Production.
But 3.5 Million A MONTH ???
42 Million units (Hybridbatteries) a year???
Good question where Sanyo gets his Lanthanum from.
42 Million x 15kg REE (mostly Lan)comes to a whopping 630.000tpa REE.
Ok, lets get real. There are about 90 Million Cars sold worldwide...
Maybe they mean 1 Million now, 3.5 Million 2009/10 A YEAR.
Still this means Sanyo bought 15.000t REE in 2008/9 for his 1 Million Units (at 15kg REE per Unit).
Not bad, since Toyota should have sold more than Sanyo and the 15.000t are almost half of China's Exportquota.
With 3.5 Million Units from Sanyo alone they would have to buy about 52.000tpa. And talking about Lanthanum @ around 25% in the REE Mixes throughout all properties this would IMHO require more Lanthanum than there is actually produced worldwide (I guess not more than 30-35.000tpa).
Hmmmm...
Sounds to me like a Report from year 2015 not 2009
Or did I get something wrong here?
