Mass adoption will happen, as it did with aluminium wheels/air con/ABS/airbags etc etc. The adoption of CF wheels as a standard on a model will be a breakthrough as then suspension/breaking/sound damping can then all be reduced also resulting in even greater weight savings.
But Australia as an auto market is pretty irrelevant for manufacturers, we will follow the rest of the world.
