Yep have an SMSF - sorry mate I should have been clearer.

Unisuper is my investment loan provider - it gave $1m at 2.2% for 4 yrs PIF. It's got an offset account, so I only pay interest on what I use.... I don't owe a thing on my home and payed out the investment loan so geared up against my East Melb flat.
Hence the mini stimulus package!!!


I was on a high and purchased 4 bottles of the 2006 Penfolds bin 389 Cab Shiraz, , 2 bottles of 2010 Bin 169 and a bottle of Signet Glen Morangie. Necture of the gods.

I have a self managed investment wrap account with BT and recently sued them. They messed up and sold down my portfolio without authority. We settled for a reasonable sum that had to cover off cap gains / professional service fees for legal & accounting.

It's cheap to run, but it has serious limitations on its use including hard caps on certain investments - As i meeting professional investor rules I have pushed them to extend every cap. They even limited me to 15 % of FMG which is Crap until I pushed them to allow more. I ended up diversifying a bit.

Anyway, yes I will set up an SMSF account.


I also rent my units & houses out directly. I do the DD and save the 5%. I actually also enjoy doing to occasional plumbing. not so much about saving money, more about getting outside of the house

that said I am all for saving money where ever I can, or doing it myself if I can as I enjoy learning!!!
