The CEO stated at the AGM there would be several thousand chips. Which as I understand it are for clients to integrate into their products which could be whole chip, module or IP.
I did think that volume production meant a somewhat larger amount so I feel they could have been a little more specific about that in the original press release/announcement.
EAP clients had received engineering chips previously so I'm guessing they are ahead of the game in understanding what they can do with it and how to integrate it. This run is as I understand it is to see how the reliability of the chip stacks up in a volume production setting as well as providing additional testing chips for clients to integrate whole chip, modules from chip or IP once BRN are convinced there are no issues.
If I'm off or making things more confusing please post a correction (calling all technical people).
