According to Bloomberg (2/6/2021) EV battery sales have more than doubled in the first 4 months of this year. In another related Bloomberg article (2/6/2021) Global EV battery sales surge as demand for clean cars boom - BOOM !
On news like the above I suspect that the remaining shorter's will be eyeing the emergency exits.
As for the tipping competition I shall refrain. My opinion is that we are starting to look like a tasty takeover target and a big fish will move before the year is out; the ensuing bidding war (if more than one bidder) to reach circa $4 to $5.
In the meantime, all going well, I would be surprised if we don't reach the $2 mark (or more) by Xmas. There is just too much heat in the thematic and words like "Boom !" being bandied around for anything less.
