I can totally see parallel discussions with Novartis on CHF bogging down, or back-burner-ing discussions on ARDS.

I could also see MSB NOT wanting to announce (or not being able to announce) Novartis' confirmation on ARDS until they see whether they can work something out with Novartis on CHF, too, likely a much pricier proposition. I can see MSB being a bit more in the driver's seat on that indication, particularly with SurgCentre at the table and in their corner.

All very feasible -- and would make good support for Novartis' heavy ARDS-related hiring spree in spite of their being no news on whether they are in our out.

Others have said it - maybe they thought they could close CHF and thus delayed this report hoping for good news. Will be waiting for that early morning "Ding!" that signals an announcement...
