That's the conversion I'm interested in. It frees up lots more space however they are quite wide so they won't fit everything. The extra bonus is it gives you an independent rear end as well which is a valuable improvement for most old bangers. The downside is that it requires more modification to fit.

As more evs come to market and get crashed, more options will become available.

That said, there are already bolt in conversions for really valuable classics. Being bolt in, the conversion can be reversed in order to retain the car's value. Think DB5 Aston, E type jag etc.

Model 3 rear drive train complete. Motor/gearbox/drive unit and inverter all in one neat package.
