i see talk of head and shoulders is all over cnbc, so i think it's not just confined to HC - the masses are well aware of it. Makes me wary as mr market generally does not do what the masses expect

If the masses short in anticipation of the pattern playing out, this will provide a great target for the big boys to force a short covering squeeze. You can see the big boys pushing the index above the 55 day EMA into the close yesterday, to protect positions

Assuming earnings over the next couple of days are not too bad, i think this scenario is very possible. Then the market will fall, as it should after option expiry. this will keep the big boys happy, which is normally the main rule of the game
