'In fact several of those companies have gone under and then China is right there to try and buy the resource they had a hand in putting out of business. This is where the world and Australia started to draw the line.'

The blame on China in these cases is misplaced - it is Australia that should look at their own policies allowing these kind of deals to be made or go through.

China can change their behavior but they won't if we just accept what is clearly a bad practice.

Bad practice?? Your last post itself points the finger at a SRG - is SRG a Chinese owned company?? If not, then bad practices are already in place and not necessarily originating from China.

...'they do not follow ethical rules...'

How many ethical rules have been broken by nations outside of China - don't have to look very far - and who makes these rules in the first place?

One needs to understand cultural aspects of any nation one deals with. Both Australia and Canada have indigenous or first nations people who culturally are so much different and had their own rules - neither asked for democracy - so called democracy came to them. In Australia there are elements of indigenous studies appearing in schools and beyond in an attempt to learn cultural differences.

What is ethical to one may not be seen culturally or ethically the same in another nation - get an understanding of this and then one can deal with it in a more informed way rather then just pushing one's own barrel. It does seem however, that when it comes to money making, ethics fall to the bottom of many a list.

I myself have a different cultural background - one that I am proud of as one's own heritage should not be forgotten nor be ashamed of. Perhaps some comments reflect some of those beliefs.

In closing, I hope SYA will be 'ethical' in all their dealings as an upcoming producer - perhaps going through the BAPE process is one indicator that there was some doubt and perhaps rightly so.

Additionally, I also hope that perhaps posters apply some ethics prior to posting personal attacks on others that may perhaps have a different point of view - that applies to other threads elsewhere too. Again AIMHO.
