I think the political right and left paradigms have somewhat changed since the Menzies days
The ALP lost its path when it lost its voters base - blue collar workers - due to the global forces that diminished the manufacturing and industrial sections of our economy.
The two new paradigms that are emerging are the globalist and nationalist forces that are manifesting themselves - not so much in the two major political parties - but in what people are thinking and saying. The political parties swill catch on soon enough if they start listening to the people rather than their lobbyists.
