You are right in certain circumstances, but you also have to acknowledge that everyone has different circumstances. You may be in and out of this stock as a trader, but some ppl including myself are in this as an investment and also to be eligible for the CGT discount. As a trader, yes you are right 12c would've been the best time. However, as an investor or even as a trader who STILL has this stock currently, there's no point selling low. Just my opinion though
