As far as I know, GLI only bought their shares over the last few weeks. Check the significant shareholding announcements for IDG.

GLI actually didn't exist as an investment shell company until early this year. Prior to that, they were a completely different company, and that's why GLI have announced they will be changing their name to Blue Capital, to shake off any ties with the previous incarnation of GLI.

And as you seem to agree - it raises the whole question as to WHY (I keep coming back to that one-word question) they started in on IDG in the first place?
