    Fatsoh - I agree with your statement that no revolution has ever been fought and won via apathy, but they are also not won sending the troops into the wrong battle. Strategy is far more important than brute force.

    This is just another way of manipulating the unsuspecting masses! Making those who feel hard done by to feel warm and fuzzy for a while by giving them false hope and the illusion that something is being done. Simple minds are very easily distracted, "a bit like giving a bawling child a lolly to keep it quiet until its mind turns to something else". Before you know it, the child has forgotten what it was bawling about.

    You also say "if enough people make enough of the right noise, ignorance from the relevant authorities can no longer be sustained" The problem with this is that, enough people will not make the right noise, and the ignorance of the relevant authorities can be sustained for much longer than you can imagine!

    As for rules changing, that's another story and an encyclopedia of examples, but in short, you can be sure that they will never be for the benefit of the small guy!

    Good luck with your endeavours folks but you will see that I am right again as usual.
