I don't understand the detail of the tech. as you say, it detects the g force impact to the head which is the trigger for concussion. this is then used to get the player off the field for medical checking. considering the damage to some
players, and the long term impact on their lives, I'd say this is a move in the right direction
not sure why players don't want to use the mouth guard but I'd say it will be mandatory, not voluntary, for professional Australian footballers in both codes
