Today the revenue and NPAT has somewhat doubled. SOI is approx 18.6 billion (double) and the sp is around $5.3. So if you consider it a “merger of equals” then u can say that the current sp is appropriate.
IMO $8 valuation when it listed was always overvalued. So it’s not surprising that it has come back to $5ish.

DT leaving completely was a bit of a shock......but he built TPG from scratch. Not sure if any of you have sold a business but when u sell something u have lived half your life with.....only to not be able to call the shotss anymore as you no longer are the majority holder is hard to watch.
it’s good he is taking a break. won’t be surprised if he comes back in a few years in a minor role.

now with this “merger of equals” which I think it never was. TPG was always superior. But Vodafone does have a brand value/intellectual property/etc etc etc.

Shorters have continued to increase. So they do see some weakness.

imo due to the uncertainties this is a perfect stock to dollar cost average.

over the long term this is a star stock. For a while there won’t be any other major telco coming in. It’s just Optus, Telstra and TPG. Things like Covid has actually helped telcos - dyor- lots on internet about this.

also international peeps will continue to pour in as this country runs on immigration.

so post-merger where we are now, market did not value vodafone business since TPG mc back to where it was? havent looked at TPG again since Teoh left.
