There would still be benefit in using Bisantrene as the other drugs that have been used come with the cardio issues that Bisantrene doesn’t suffer from. Because fit AML patients are dosed so high with anthracyclines they often exceed the lifetime dosage limits very early in treatment. My hope is we will see an inversion of the normal treatment schedule where Bisantrene is used upfront and the cardio damaging anthracyclines are used as a salvage treatment.
