... and maybe, buried away in an obscure corner in fine print in the Act, the options are to be treated as shares held, with the 50% tax reduction applying if exercised more than one year after issuance.
Fine print or no fine print, if I were a tax lawyer I would argue for my client that this is the way things should proceed (and all the way to the High Court!).
