Very positive news, two of greenlands most prominenet politician/businessman who are highly decorated have been appointed and add on Dr Hans Kristian another influential greenlander.

Note the company underlined the word speculation and have said further news will come out on this front, my understanding is this will be positive and within a week, if not I am unsure they would be continuing on with the PFS.

We are also awaiting the mineralogy results.

It appears the stock may begin trading again tomorrow.

Lars Emil takes on the role of Chairman of Greenland Minerals and Energy A/S effective from July 1st. The Company is very pleased to have attracted a man of Lars Emil’s stature in Greenland and looks forward to his full time involvement. Lars Emil is recognised as being pivotal in Greenland’s move to self governing and ultimately independence. “I see my role with Greenland Minerals and Energy as a way to lay the foundations for the establishment of a strong minerals industry here in Greenland” Lars Emil stated.
He went on to add “I have always been passionate about my country. I see mining as an industry that is extremely important to support and sustain Greenland’s recently won freedoms. A strong minerals industry will provide the foundation for our financial independence, which will ensure a successful transition to political independence”. Lars Emil has also been awarded the Danish Order of the Dannebrog and the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit, as well as two types of the Nersornaat, The Silver Nersornaat and the Golden Nersornaat (the Greenland Medal for Meritorious Service).

Ole was responsible for the construction of the first Tertiary level Business School in Greenland and has been involved in many of the major companies in Greenland including Royal Greenland, where he built the company over 13 years into the largest fishing group in the world from a loss making state run enterprise. He has managed the Government divestment (privatisations) of several major companies including The KNI group, Greenland Ship Yards A/S and the state run Tannery Group of companies. Ole has also been awarded the Danish Order of the Dannebrog and The Silver Nersornaat (The Greenland Medal for Meritorious Service)

Dr Hans Kristian (Hank) Schønwandt, PhD
    Non-Executive Director

Mr Schønwandt has been involved in mineral exploration and geological mapping in Greenland since 1963. He has contributed to the mining society’s attention to Greenland’s mineral potential through numerous international publications and presentations at mining conferences.

As head of the Department of Economic Geology he streamlined the Geological Survey’s service to the mining industry by a number of initiatives including a mineral database, core library, and a quick presentation of survey data through the “Open file Report” and an archive for the mining industries assessment reports. He was technical adviser to the committee which recommended a modernisation of the Mineral Resource Act for Greenland in 1990, a modernisation which became the starting point of an increased mineral exploration activity in Greenland.

As associated professor Mr Schønwandt consulted for various mining companies in Greenland and elsewhere. He was a permanent consultant for the Nordic Mining Company Ltd on activities in Greenland and was also permanent consultant for Norsk Hydro Ltd’s Prospecting Department in Oslo, Norway where he was deeply involved in the discovery and development of porphyry molybdenum deposits in the Oslo Rift.

As deputy minister he was responsible for establishing the Bureau of Minerals and Petroleum (BMP) in Nuuk, Greenland and to advice the politicians in Greenland and Denmark on all aspects concerning the raw material sector. He took the initiative and was responsible for the authority’s strategy within the hydrocarbon and mineral sector which was approved by the government of Greenland and the government of Denmark in 2003 and 2004 respectively.
