Bullish Sign? - Bounced off 200 EMA, page-3859

I'm not sure what fund/strategy that is, but the ASX200 total net return over the last 5 years is just over 9%........it may be better to just invest in an index if you have the option rather than these individual funds with questionable performance.

I mean they have their top 10 names only making up what looks like ~30% of the portfolio......how many names have they got in the fund and how much mgmt fees would they be charging for 'research' into what stocks they invest in

anyway, excuse my rant at a random fund manager.....my parents for 2 decades had their super with 3 fund managers that were charging them 1.5-3%pa and 2 of the managers invested in these retail funds (which had their own fees) and the 3rd had a portfolio of 40 stocks for a 100k portfolio.....I'm not sure how much time that 3rd fund manager spent on admin vs picking decent stocks to invest in (based on performance, it was likely 95% admin, 5% stock picking). Anyway.......lesson is please look at your returns over 3-5-10 yrs and don't get taken in by ticking all the boxes to try to get some sort of diversification.....etfs (vangard/blackrock) will give you index returns without the fees these people charge
