I don't think I've changed my opinion at all.

I am still hopeful for a July acquisition or at least for a deal to be announced.

I think it is a probable outcome that we proceed with another iteration regardless of if a deal or license agreement is announced in July quarter.

I was told of other products "waiting in the wings" by a WD data center products manager. I take him at face value. And I also think it is possible he was referring to very niche applications specific for certain technology types that in no way take market share away from 4DS.

I have had an opinion on WDC "dragging their feet" so to speak for quite some time. You may remember me harping on about "reducing negative carry" and "it's in WDC interest to delay acquisition as long as possible" etc. etc. This is because the market is only just emerging. It doesn't make sense to buy just yet.... or at least in the past couple years it hasn't made sense when it was less certain the direction the industry would take and the reception to next gen memory. Not to mention 4DS wanting and needing to prove up the 1Mb chip.

It's all steady as she goes so far as I am concerned.

Edit: and yes, there will absolutely be more products than just 4DS technology. I cannot for the life of me see a situation where 4DS takes the entire SCM market. My rose coloured glasses may not be as strong as yours!
