I think it's a dangerous game and the fact is people who have done it the last 20 years have been burned, but that's what this agent did so maybe you should ask him...perhaps he wanted to upgrade his property so the gains would have been greater had prices fallen
and other agents have expressed to me surprise at what the market has done this year
