If the US was interested in REEs from Greenland. Wouldnt the first step to that process be to initiate a trade agreement?
The US havent shown much interest in Greenland prior as we can see from this article but now the US seem to be visiting and open to doing a deal.
IMO Greenlands only real trade item is fish of which in this article we can see is quite restricted in its US importation.
Is the US there for fish?
    Maybe defensive interest?
Seems unusual the US is sending over teams to look at REEs.
Now after the election trade deals are being discussed and given both sides know that any REEs worth their salt in Greenland are often found with uranium. That would limit the trade agreement done to the one potential REE source.
This was the first step I was hoping to see. Bargain chips being placed on the table. Greenland may need to up the ante now given it doesnt have many chips and the US has made it clear what it wants.
Greenland could do very well from this indeed if it plays its cards right and with GGG in the limelight. Look at relaxing the situation to stay in the game.
This to me is submarket news for GGG but pinitol in potential upon the road ahead for GGG that I really wanted to see.
