got carried away reading about him (bill mollison). What a very interesting man. I’ve only ever been loosely interested in permaculture as a term. When I grew up my parents were outstanding gardeners. Lots of compost and rigorous about how they used the soil. Also somehow managed to dispose of endless buckets of toilet waste without poisoning us all (the days of the outside toilet and no septic tank ). I don’t think we ever bought vegetables though our fruit was usually foraged and bottled for winter. Dad also managed to grow experimental crops thanks to his science contacts so we got to eat different varieties of berries before they got released on to the market.
growing stuff gets in the veins. I’ve recently been to a friends earth ship she is building and I love how they will have one of those fabulous indoor gardens as well. It’s magic being in there.
