Too quiet here, so I'll throw one more grenade. I've been thinking today (when I take time out from sucking my thumb) that traders and longs are kind of natural enemies. I say this, because longs are doing the hard work. We are holding the shares long-term and therefore limiting supply and increasing the value of the remaining shares on offer by creating scarcity. Longs have a net positive effect on the share price. Traders on the other hand, trade in and out, so they are not increasing the scarcity of shares. Their net effect is neutral. I don't like this thread even existing, because it's like being in a country of like minded Galaxy citizens, and then there is a small region (this thread) which is inhabited by a group of insurgents whose interests are not necessarily aligned with the rest of the citizens. Also, TA becomes a kind of self-fulfilling prophecy, because the instos are using the same TA signals. Who knows, maybe some of the resident TA gurus are working for the instos and are trying to influence retail, however insignificant that influence may be, via HC.
