Agreed SJB. xf1 and bartel are both entitled to a view and whilst somewhat opposed they are both welcome.
bartel points out that there is a disproportionate balance of workers to management. This is a handy thing to know if you are investing in a company. Also heavy-handed management approach is also helpful to have knowledge of. A workforce that lives daily under a bullying regime, does not have good productivity, are often depressed, have more illness and hence days off, do not sleep well which affects their work performance, have more workplace accidents, and have a greater turnover of staff which costs the business dearly. As an investor I don't want to see this sort of workplace environment. Bad morale is bad business. Like rain it comes from above.
