Hmm, your thinking is the soggy ground will be easier to drill? I admit to using the same logic deciding when to dig the fence post holes, but regardless of flood or drought, it always seems to get hard-going after 30cm ... can't see the strategy any more successful on a 500m hole ... but, as always,stand to be corrected.
