This info is approx 15 years old.

I went to the Norwell Motorplex near the Gold Coast and did the level 1 driving course. It's owned by Paul Morris.

It's not a racing driver type thing until you get to level 2 I think.

I spent about 5/6 hours in an auto v6 Commodore.

It was mainly about safety. Things that were important are hand placement and leg placement.
You also get lectured about airbags and hand placement.

It was raining the day I went, but we still did lane changing drills under braking and a small amount of faster driving.

You also do a fair bit of work on the skid pan.
You also get to drive down the straight at 100 clicks without your hands off the wheel and set off the anti-lock brakes to stop the car.
    It did stop straight.

A nice chicken lunch was provided.

I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it to anyone. There were females there the day I was there.

When my day finished, a bloke turned up to upgrade his CAMS racing license, so he went out with a v6 Commodore and a v8 Commodore with an instructor, and they raced around the track doing drills. I stayed back and watched just for the interest value.

I thought the Commodores performed very well, better than I thought they would.

They asked me to come back and do level 2 which is a lot harder, and I said I would but at the time work duties stopped me, unfortunately. Level 2 gets difficult, and you are required to go over the turntable. Apparently it's wild.
You spend less than a 1/2 hour in the lecture room and the rest of the day in the car but you share the car.
Apparently they do 4x4 training and bike training as well and electric cars.

I am not associated in any way with the Norwell Motorplex and I paid for my course.
I am also not associated with Paul Morris in any way but Instagram has shown me he has a knock out girlfriend called Carina / Cortina
