However the project to date Poke mentions is focused on the existing pit of which thered be no cash flow anytime soon without dredging works at least.
Even then Id suspect treatment will be required on ongoing nature given what Ive seen elsewhere and this can take some time. Hence why the ML is taking so long in Greenland as shown in my links. What concerns me is the thorium. Its hard to capture it all. Which means it stays in the waste water as does other talings. To pump this into the sea would be an issue. I suspect it may all need to be stored. This would obviously require a huge catchment facility based on the pit size alone. Just potential concern anyway and I cant find anything on how this can be done.
gbb can you advise of a strategy to deal with this?

haha thats actually funny. Yes I can see you seeing that pic and feeling it a downramp. Its more a representation of age. The other buildings you mention arent all functional. I understand they look good externally. Recent lick of paint. For the tourists. But they are examples of the time externally and you arent allowed to enter. I believe too there may be a couple they keep for visitors to stay in if they pass through as otherwise its abandoned overall.

Seepage from the sea suggests wall concerns. The wall is either porous to some degree. Or overflow during heavy seasons from the Fjord. It would mean a few things. But mainly ongoing treatment and operational effect. eg shut down, hazards etc.
But mainly its so the water can be somehow mitigated to stop mixture with the thorium which can create a real hazrd if not managed well. I can supply a bit of info on this if youd like. I think its a real concern that hasnt yet been identified and it may be the reason Jefferies mention of previous buyers walked away.
Also the previous owner knows about it. I believe he considers it a major concern but hes not commenting here on it so far.
