I think the FWS has failed to show a proper example of possible scenario outcomes if I am honest.
They give 4 examples of scenarios
1) no mining 2) mining - similar project size 2 ioneers proposed project 3) mining - didnt read all the change in scenario 4) mining - not just Ioneer but other projects large scale mining
The first scenario was the only scenario where they looked at the Herbivory event as 1 off... -.- Under ALL of the other scenarios where mining was involved it was put down as "not a one off" and that they would likely to continue....
Wouldnt herbivory be less likely under a mining scenario as the private company can fence off part of the species to avoid rodent attacks in future......
In all scenarios that involved mining they FAILED to showed one scenario that translocation of the plant species was successful...
Considering they state on p54 of the report
"We do not yet know if E. tiehmii seedling transplants (grown in a greenhouse) or translocation of adult individuals (i.e., salvage; dug up and moved) can survive and establish self-sustaining subpopulations"
Wouldnt you give a scenario in which case translocation was successful. Considering you dont know.....
