better still, sell 42 shares and write an out of the money call against 1000 of your new shares. sit back let time decay. Puts some cash straight back into your pocket and you keep your shares for next divi.
I wrote December $16 call for $1.20 per share this morning when stock was $15.90. Effectively means i am selling at $17.20 if exercised plus the December strike will more then likely get me the next divi of around 55cents. Not a bad deal for 5 months.
$17.75 (plus franking credits) exit if exercised on $14.40 entry = 23.26% for 5 months.
