The family could have been allowed to stay, all on the quiet, but no the government forced this onto the headlines by keepng it going far longer than they should have and again by not dealing with anything in a reasonable time frame they are on the back foot.

How on earth would allowing them stay ‘on the quiet’ not find its way to the refugee advocates and lefty media who would exploit the decision as much as they could?
