I don't agree with that at all.
Have been involved with the Chinese directly since 2002, mainlanders and Hong Kong based.
They outbid each other when they need to, and without blinking. I've had deals that usually take two days to settle, wrapped up in 6 minutes once they have learnt of a serious competitor.
