    Definitely suggest if trading regularly that you look at being classed a Trader.

    IMHO much better classed as a Trader than an Investor ;-)

    Was an Investor until the ATO suggested I was more a Trader than an Investor.

    The guidelines here are vague, IMHO largely because they do NOT want everyone classified as Traders.

    It was not so much number of trades done or regularity, as it is your general approach to doing it.

    IF in doubt talk to an accountant or the ATO.

    It was ATO who showed me how to shift personal costs to where they were business deductable costs !



    BTW still receivie some parenting money for two children am caring for and Centrelink seems find it hard accepting Trading, and remain more a complication than do ATO.
