Who is going to check in now??????
Always thought there was a backdoor reason for the "covid checkin" and it has been used!!!!!!!!
Urgent legislation is being introduced into the WA Parliament today after police accessed QR code check-in information from the SafeWA app as part of a "high-profile" murder investigation.
Key points:- Attorney-General John Quigley says police asked for SafeWA check-in data
- He says a new law will address confidentiality concerns
- People can also check in using pen and paper if they do not want to use the app
Attorney-General John Quigley said police had legally issued two notices
for the Health Department to hand over businesses' check-in data related to a murder and a stabbing case.
He said the legislation would protect the sanctity and confidentiality of data collection through the SafeWA app, which was introduced to help authorities contract trace COVID-19 cases.
