A dividend policy can be put in place at any time without distracting management from immediate issues. I'd like to see a clear statement from management committing to return at least half of future profits to the shareholders after the mine is set up sufficiently to support on-going revenues over many years.
I think a statement like this will be strongly supported not only by existing shareholders, but prospective shareholders as well, thereby helping strengthen the shareprice in the short term.
Let our company be one devoted to mining gold and "giving" it to the shareholders, not "investing" it in pie-in-the-sky projects. We can invest it ourselves
