MoneyMan25, are you able to supply some examples of "good people" on this forum who have ENSURED that SDL is a good thing?

The risks that SDL face are listed below, and I don't think there are many people on this forum who are not already aware of them.

    1. The project is based in Cameroon, so curruption and stability is a major concern.

    2. SDL require almost US$3 Billion CAPEX, which is hard to come by at the best of times, let alone in the current economic climate.

    3. The project requires a port and a 500km railway to be built. This is of some concern.

    4. The current share price is also of a concern.

    5. The fact that we havent heard any news is a concern.

    6. The fact that George Jones is retiring is a concern.

    7. The possibility that SDL will run out of money if they do not announce strategic partners shortly is a concern.

The majority of people on this forum are aware of the above concerns, and that is why they have all been discussed on this forum many times.

I am optimistic about SDL's chances, but I also know there is a real possibility of them hitting a dead end. With that said, I feel we are going to find out one way or the other by 31st August, and that is why I continue to hold.

As a shareholder of SDL, you have 2 choices.

    1) Continue holding for an announcement where you run the risk of no announcement being made, or a negative announcement and you loose all of your money.

    2) Sell your holdings now, to ensure that you don't lose your money, but risk missing the boat, if an announcement is made by 31st August.

For mine, these are the two options that current shareholders have to consider.
