@A4paper, in your Post #: 53942751, you said " if a person is short.... so they have already sold the shares and are waiting to buy back......." , how if they have sold the shares and are waiting to buy back are they in any way the "legal possessor of same". The short sell has on-sold the stock and they are owned by the purchas
But disregarding this, please enlighten me and show me a link to a document that says that at the moment shares are lent and have not yet been sold on the person is the "legal possessor of same". Or are these just your words to indicate that there is a document that says the shorter does not own the shares but has a right to sell.
