I have to disagree with that narrative that 'one case slipping through leads to a super spreader event'. If that were true, then the few cases of Delta that HAVE slipped through SHOULD HAVE ALREADY caused a super spreader event.

Also, re the one case slipping through we are having more and more occurrences of PCR missing positives and also returning false positives. So looping back to the 'one case slipping through' it means PCR tests are no good also. I mean we even have the ludicrous scenario of 'NSW govt committees convening to determine if a tested person has or has not covid'. The science is that fuzzy that we have Stalin-Hitler-Xi-RocketMan style committees meeting to decide if a comrade citizen is infected and needs to be locked away.

There seems no perfect solution, but to ignore a test that is 90% effective at 1/10th the cost seems odd. But as I stated many times: this is all about pollie bum covering. So ignorance will be at the forefront.
