I’d have to agree with that view as well. Rather than getting stuck and lost with the technicalities of ‘shorting’, to me it’s the intension that counts. And based on the intentions we have holders (long term), holder (traders) and shorts (non-holders). Shorts in my view are not holders of the stock as they take a view that’s in opposition to longs (true holders). In principle, the positive outlook from longs should counter the negative outlook from shorts. However Shorts, the kind we have witnessed with ISX are the unethical/manipulative bunch who use deception, lies & harassment to achieve their goals.
