IOCG deposits can be elusive beasts to discover, OZL hasn’t really discovered its own tier one deposit yet. Prominent Hill was discovered by MEP and Carrapateena was discovered by some lucky prospectors who were funded by a government grant. The geophysics are the key to unlocking the potential and there are a few varieties out there with different signatures.
We may just be like those lucky prospectors, government assistance in this space is gold and will help justify the next steps in determining the potential. The return for the government even if one deposit is discovered of significance will be 100 fold.
