The vast majority of the prophecies attributed to Jesus are in fact prophecies relating to the Second Coming. That is a figure like Jesus with the same attributes as Jesus but fulfilling the prophecies required to be the Messiah of the Jews.
Yes waffle, there are many prophecies relating to Jesus second coming, but not in the same sense or notion you are putting.
The Second coming will be that same as when he went up, in a Glorified body, at the end of time for judgement. but nothing to do with starting a new religion.
The next figure like Jesus to come is actually the Anti-Christ, which will have a setting in this world exactly as you are advocating, as he will try to make himself even bigger then Jesus and will try to sit on his throne.
