We have the artist and the mum. Can tell you I wouldn't be buying Poh's cook book - squid ink jelly and 100 days old eggs don't turn me on - but I do see the international market.
They're already marketing the DVD's of recipes from the series to come - a 3 set DVD.They should sell very well - anyone see the Today Tonight coverage on cooking classes now being booked out, and Woolies 'specialty' sections reporting sales up around 15%. Ginger sales up 21% cooking utensils etc up -
It's brilliant - at least if everyone gets back to cooking decent meals, the 'family discussion time around the dinner table' ight be reinvented for this generation to come, and perhaps the next generation won't be DS/Nintendo/iphone junkies who are addicted to their little computer games? The art of conversation is lost, and family meals together are one of the areas that it can be rebuilt.....
