First, I'm not a member of any team - I'm in my seventies, a self-funded retiree and behoven to no-one and to no political party!

I've never had any confidence in hotel quarantine due to years of experience at staying in them - their ventilation systems suck and hallways. lifts and staircases are just what Covid19 needs to spread itself around.

It's my view that if Australia is to have leaky borders to satiate the self-indulgence of chosen ones like Abbott and Cormann that it's the federal government's constitutional responsibility to organise and to operate specialist facilities - otherwise, why on Earth do we have Border Farce?

Re bans being applied on travel with other countries; the criteria should be limited to the compounded total of active cases, management processes being applied, vaccination rates and their associated contextual risks. Morrison's selective and racist ban against China should have been extended to include the USA, Japan, South Korea and much of Europe soon after it was imposed on China. Morrison's refusal to do that enabled Covid19 to gain a foothold throughout Australia by mid-March 2020.
