Many thanks @caredes. Excellent info. What a shame the company did not see fit to turn the AGM into a joint physical and webcast event. Or at least circulated a written transcript to all holders after the event. I still feel like I'm groping in the semi darkness to see what they have said. Most frustrating.

"... - pixel is now square not round (this is a change this year) - gives benefits of automatically knowing what each change will deliver.
    - round is easier to calculate acoustics but square was better and these new tools allowed this change to occur without months and months of delay - he didn't elaborate why, maybe the slicing up of the chip ..."

I noted this shape change in some of the images. If you look at the earlier round versions with 3 flexors I recall it being said (or rather I noted some allusion to this) that the movements of the pixel were hard to ensure the membrane moved as a dead flat surface across its entire width. Now there seems to be 4 flexors joined to the membrane via cantilevered flexors attached at the corners. This would provide better control of the full surface and help it stay rigid. That in turn would ensure that the air-pulse wavefront would be more uniformly flat, which I gather was a problem that led to muddier sound output.

While it is probably a small contribution the shape change also probably makes the moving chip surface area a tiny bit bigger. That may or may not make a significant difference.

Does anyone else have any additional information or conversational tit-bits they would like to share?
