No. it can be justified.
But as I’ve said before I don’t see it is with Covid treatment. This is because deaths are extremely rare compared to the massive number of infections. This means you need to treat many people who do get quite sick who would have recovered without being injected. Because you need to treat before lung damage.
So, looking at treatment of 100 people, that will set you back $3.5m. There was over 12k Covid infections yesterday in the US. Assuming you only treat the worse 10% … that’s 1200 … @$35k … $42m … for only one days infection. It would send their system broke. Forget about India.
I think if the stems work for the cancer application then this would work financially as it could be really targeted.
But the reality is that medical treatment cost is a factor and decisions are made all the time.
